18 April 2016 – Granadella

David normally leads this walk, but he is still unable to walk due to sciatica.   So today Wendy led the walk.   Pat and Peter are away on holiday, but Jacky and Mike are back.  So we had a respectable group of nine

It’s the first time Jan has done this walk this year, she missed it last time due to her injured knee.   No problems today, except for the exposed section just before the fort which she does not like very much

Sunny with a cool breeze today, but it was sheltered and very pleasant at the fort where we had our banana stop

Jan used to be quite nervous about the chain when we first did this walk many years ago, but no hesitation at all today

Not everyone likes the sections requiring the added support of a chain.  Fortunately it is possible to detour around them if necessary

This is the first time that Wendy has led this walk, and she came prepared with a copy of a map from the internet.   Looks like Peter has spotted something of interest?

This climb can be quite difficult on a hot day, but the cool breeze made it much easier than usual

At the top we always have a welcome break at the mirador (view point)

David and Rosemary had arranged to meet us at the beach for our picnic lunch.  However we arrived early and had an extended break.   Like the comfortable chair which David brought with him.
